A very old but, sadly these days, seldom done pantomime - "PUSS IN BOOTS" has its roots in old european folklore. Our version will follow closely the classic children's story, with a typically Spanish setting.
Following the death of the old Miller, his three sons are left to divide up their father's estate. The two older sons - Hurdy & Gurdy - trick the younger son Mario out of his inheritance, leaving him with only the Miller's Cat - Lodger. But Lodger is no ordinairy Cat and with the help of a pair of Magic Boots crafted by Crispen the Cobbler, he becomes the one and only "Puss in Boots" - a talking Cat! With his new found gift - Puss sets about the task of turning his master from a penniless peasant into the fabulous "Marquis of Carabas" - a suitor worthy of the King of Spain's beautiful daughter - Isabella. Only one thing stands in his way - the evil El Terriblo - the henchman of an Ogre - a very wicked Ogre! Will Puss' plans work out for Mario? You'll have to wait and see!
Once again the production team of John Hill (Director) Steve Sanders (Music) and Carol Lacey (Choreography) will oversee the production.
